Centrix Bank donation supports participation in leadership forum for Nashua residents

Centrix Bank has made a $2,500 contribution to NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire to sponsor the non-profit organization’s participation in NeighborWorks® America’s Community Leadership Institute(CLI) which was held October 17-October 20, 2013 in Sacramento, California.

Centrix Bank’s contribution will allowed NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire to send five Nashua-based volunteers and residents, along with Jennifer Vadney, Neighborhood Development Manager at NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire, to this national leadership forum.  The annual CLI has worked to build sustainable communities through development of grassroots leadership to effect positive change and foster thriving neighborhoods.

“Through our long-standing partnership with NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire, we have been able to provide our support on several meaningful projects over the years,” commented Joseph B. Reilly, President/CEO.  “We are pleased to sponsor a group of Nashua representatives to attend NeighborWorks® America’s Community Leadership Institute, so they can gain more insight into the planning stages necessary for developing a community strategy to assist the agency with implementing future projects targeted for downtown Nashua.”

“The knowledge our volunteers bring back with them will help map out a strategy for community organizingin downtown Nashua,” stated Robert Tourigny, Executive Director of NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire. “This contribution by Centrix Bank helps offset costsassociated with providing community members the opportunity to participate in this forum and take away some valuable planning techniques which they can then employ in the ongoing revitalization of the downtown Nashua area.”
