NASHUA, New Hampshire (August 27, 2014) – Centrix Bank has committed $2,500 to send seven individuals to this year’s Community Leadership Institute (CLI) in Cincinnati. The CLI is hosted by NeighborWorks® America each year. This is the second consecutive year Centrix Bank has supported this initiative, led locally by NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire.
Centrix Bank’s contribution will allow six Nashua-based volunteers and residents, along with Erica Rivera, Community Building Specialist at NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire, to attend this national leadership forum. The annual CLI brings community leaders from across the country together, and helps them develop a plan to improve their communities through tangible goal setting techniques taught by expert practitioners.
“We are proud to continue our partnership with NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire and truly appreciate the opportunity to provide a meaningful contribution toward a program that will help build community leaders,” commented Joseph B. Reilly, President/CEO of Centrix Bank. “We are grateful to these volunteers and their commitment to improving the quality of life in our communities.”
“This forum will serve as an excellent opportunity for volunteers based out of Nashua to follow up on the training they received a year ago, and build on the momentum they have already gained in their neighborhoods,” stated Robert Tourigny, Executive Director of NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire. “Centrix Bank’s continued support of this initiative shows their commitment to community building efforts here in New Hampshire.”
