Housing Counselors earn Certification as Military Home Specialists

Boots Across America’s national certification course educates loan officers, realtors, and housing professionals with a clear understanding of how to work with military clients. HOMEteam Manager Paul McLaughlin and Home Ownership Counselor Ryan Tufts are now certified graduates of this program, and proudly offer the expert level customer service to military men and women they have earned and deserve. As Boots Across America Certified Home Specialist Course graduates, McLaughlin and Tufts have the tools and knowledge needed to effectively work with military borrowers, especially in a fast-paced and competitive market. The course also includes timely advice for housing professionals regarding foreclosure prevention, with tips they can give their clients to help them avoid mortgage delinquencies in the future.

“This course, coupled with our own background in homeownership counseling and coaching, will help us guide more military families to homeownership,” said McLaughlin. “The home buying process can be arduous, and having someone who better understands your situation is invaluable.”

The course’s author, Beverly Ray Frase, has a strong background as a loan officer, real estate broker and career army wife.  “I’ve been on all sides of the home buying process,” says Beverly, “I know where the speed bumps are, especially for our military men and women. Working with a certified housing professional should move them down the path to home ownership.
