Manchester, NH – NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire has received a $10,000 contribution from the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation in support of home ownership and financial literacy education counseling and coaching services. The grant will support the seminars and services of HOMEteam, a collaboration between NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire, CATCH Neighborhood Housing, and Laconia Area Community Land Trust.
“We are very pleased and grateful for the continued partnership of the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation,” states Paul McLaughlin, Manager of HOMEteam. “Preparing for the purchase of a home can seem daunting, and the Foundation’s support is helping to ensure that residents of this state have access to quality education programs pertaining to smart financial practices and the homeownership process,” continued McLaughlin.
HOMEteam provides New Hampshire residents with the information and tools they need to make good financial decisions related to purchasing, renting, and maintaining a home. Through a series of workshops, seminars, one-on-one counseling, and other resources, HOMEteam helps first time home buyers navigate the mortgage process, renters save for home ownership, and home owners preserve and protect their investment in their home.
