Tenant Services Coordinator

NeighborWorks® Southern New Hampshire seeks an energetic community-minded individual to work as part of a team to design and implement tenant empowerment strategies to meet the everchanging needs and interests of the NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire tenant community.

Responsibilities of the Tenant Services Coordinator include but are not limited to:

  • Build and sustain community partnerships among NWSNH tenants, government officials,
    social service agencies, business owners, and other community stakeholders;
  • Coordinate tenant focused community-building projects and provide technical assistance
    and support in order to develop leadership skills, address quality of life issues, and
    increase participation within the communities;
  • Track tenant and resident involvement and implement on-going success measurement
    tools;
  • Maintain database of tenant population and track tenant employment (as well as other
    areas of interest that may be trackable);
  • Coordinate and facilitate one-on-one and group sessions to enhance resident leadership
    skills, facilitate group problem solving, plan community building projects, build
    relationships, assess community concerns or interests and/or strategize an organizing
    campaign, as needed;
  • Provide technical assistance to tenants and residents which includes, but is not limited to,
    training in a one-on-one and/or group setting, planning and preparing appropriate
    materials, follow up contact, facilitating informal/formal trainings, etc;
  • Ensure the flow of information and communication between NWSNH, tenants, property
    managers, neighborhood residents, and other community stakeholders;
  • Assess the needs of residents and families by administering an annual resident survey;
  • Effectively communicate with residents by newsletter, flyer, bulletin board, etc., to ensure
    residents are informed of available resources and programs;
  • Attend all required meetings and prepare and participate in additional and/or special
  • projects, as required from time to time by the Owner and/or Property Manager;

  • Establish program targets, track and measure progress. Analyze and use outcomes data as
  • the basis for continuous program improvement, report program outcomes to internal and
    external stakeholders;

  • Coordinate the delivery of services with local human services providers
  • Identify and pursue enrichment programs and/or opportunities for youth and families in the
    community, examples include: health workshops, benefits enrollment, meal delivery
    programs, community building activities and more.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, as well as time management and creative thinking
    and problem-solving skills, are essential. Computer skills and an ability to utilize social media
    as a communication/outreach tool required. Successful candidate must be able to confidently
    conduct door-to-door outreach and work occasional evenings, and weekends, as well as have an
    ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team. Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with
    1-3 years’ experience in a community service field professionally or as a volunteer. Must have a
    valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Bilingual preferred. F/T, starting salary $40k plus
